Faculty Innovation Studio
The Faculty Innovation Studio, located in Spark 102, supports several faculty initiatives that promote research-based best practices, improvements, and innovations in teaching and student engagement. It is also an inviting space to meet or take a break between classes.
The studio features flexible seating, whiteboards, and a large flat screen monitor and Zoom capabilities, making it a perfect location to consider different teaching styles, technologies and modalities.
WSU Faculty have 24/7 access with their Cougar Card.
A recording room, located in Spark 102G, is available to WSU faculty.
Production equipment includes dual monitors with a Wacom tablet and pen for annotation, high quality microphone, web camera and headphones. Computer software includes:
- Graphic Design, Video Editing, Web Development & Photography: Adobe Creative Cloud
- 3D Design: Maya, 3DS Max, Revit, Fusion 360 and MudBox
- Screen Capture: Panopto
- Statistical Modeling: Matlab (Web version only), R/R Studio
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote

To reserve the Faculty Innovation Studio for your next meeting or workshop, add spark.102@wsu.edu to your Outlook calendar invitation. This will reserve the room and trigger an autoconnection of the room technology, if Zoom is needed.
