One of the projects during the Spring 2020 semester that the Spark Academic Innovation Hub has taken on is 3D models of viruses. Models were designed by students in the General Virology (MBIOS 442) class and created through an additive manufacturing process.
The Spark Rings, designed to surround a light fixture in the Spark building, are a visual representation of the concussive sound of the cannon shot fired after every Cougar football touchdown in celebration of achievement and success.
These Canjos are created from Cougar Gold made from Washington State University Creamery, maple, and black walnut.
A spiral 3D model designed to hold up the 3D printer while not in use, and a simple clock tower inspired by WSU’s own Bryan Clock Tower.
