One of the projects during the Spring 2020 semester that the Spark Academic Innovation Hub has taken on is 3D models of viruses. Models were designed by students in the General Virology (MBIOS 442) class and created through an additive manufacturing process.
The latest project here in the Spark Academic Innovation Hub is laser-etched acrylic key chains. This project was proposed by strategic communication professors Rebecca Cooney and Chelsea Newman for their Digital Content Promotions class (COMSTRAT 310). The keychains are laser-etched with logos of mock companies students created for a semester-long project in the class.
The Spark Rings, designed to surround a light fixture in the Spark building, are a visual representation of the concussive sound of the cannon shot fired after every Cougar football touchdown in celebration of achievement and success.
